Much like the way they train and race, Christ School’s runners are committing to colleges in quick succession.
Congratulations to Carl Baird ’27, who announced Monday night that he will compete at the next level for Saint Louis University.
Carl’s hometown is Bryson City, N.C., and he is a Proctor in Young House. Carl was the 2025 Carolinas Athletic Association champion in cross country and ran his personal-best time of 16:02.70 at this past Saturday’s Virginia Showcase meet.
There are now 14 seniors from the Class of 2027 who have made college sports commitments – all seven from the cross country and track programs have come since September 1.
