Coach Josh Coley began the process of returning championship basketball to Christ School in the summer of 2021.

But he couldn’t do it alone.

Bryson Cokley ’24 took a leap of faith when he followed Coach Coley to Arden from Charlotte's United Faith Christian Academy. Greenies everywhere know how the story continues - it took Christ School only two seasons to go from a three-win team to the NCISAA 4-A state championship.

The current iteration of the team is ranked 59th in the country by MaxPreps and Bryson will again be a critical component to any future success. He gave a verbal commitment to George Mason University on Friday.

Bryson is a 6-foot-5 combo guard, was an all-conference player as a junior, and decommitted from Wake Forest in July. Saint Louis, Tulane, and Wyoming were some of the other schools to offer Bryson once he reopened his recruiting.

There are now 11 seniors from Christ School’s Class of 2024 who have committed to play college sports. The updated list can be found at this link.
