Congratulations to Ben Graham ’27, who announced his verbal commitment to run cross country and track for John Hopkins University on Tuesday.
Ben's hometown is Hickory, N.C., and he is one of this year’s Service Leadership Chairs.
He ran his personal record for 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles (15 minutes, 34.20 seconds) Saturday at the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, N.C. The nation’s top-ranked Greenies beat No. 6 Belen Jesuit and the rest of a 40-team field by 34 or more points to win the COROS Race of Champions.
Ben is Christ School’s 10th student-athlete from the Class of 2027 to make a college sports commitment and the third from the cross country/track program, joining Brooks Barbee ’27 (University of Oregon) and Brody Webb ’27 (UNC Charlotte). Last year’s cross country team had a cumulative weighted grade-point average over 4.0.
