CHARLOTTE – Turnovers plagued Christ School all night Friday.
Not enough to lose a first game.
West Virginia University recruit Kingston Whitty ’26 stepped up with a game-high 22 points to lift the Greenies past Charlotte Providence Day, 69-53, on the first day of the George Lynch Invitational at Myers Park High School.
Christ School improves to 5-0 after its third win of the season in Charlotte and fourth consecutive game with 69 points. The Greenies built on a 37-30 halftime lead in their first meeting with the Chargers (0-3) since the 2024 NCISAA 4-A state championship game.
Other individual scorers on Friday were Tyler Jones ’26 (16 points), Dacen Petty ’26 (14), Micah Goodlow ‘28 (seven), Skyler Ellis ’27 (four), Hudson Hatch ’28 (four), and Will Robinson ’26 (two).
Christ School plays the Academy of Central Florida National (1-1) on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
