
Jonathan Reece ’25 went out the way every senior hopes to, in more ways than one.
Batting third, Christ School’s catcher was 3-for-3 with a solo home run Thursday in his final home game, a 9-4 win over St. Joseph’s Catholic (S.C.).
Senior Night recognized the careers of Jonathan, Pete Boatwright ’25, Davis Jones '25, Luka Rose ’25, and Will Walker ’25.
The Greenies (8-14-1) outhit the Knights (14-7) by a 13-7 count, getting two hits apiece from Henry Tutera ‘28 and Garin Gosnell ‘28 at the top of the order. Wells Alderman ’26 homered for the third time in two weeks – a three-run shot in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Patrick Robichaud ‘27 got the win with two scoreless innings of relief. He gave up one hit, two walks, and stuck out two.
The Greenies are back on the road Saturday for a 1 p.m. at High Point Wesleyan Christian Academy and should learn their seeding for the NCISAA 4-A state playoffs sometime Sunday. The first round begins Tuesday with games hosted by higher seeds.
