Greenies' Track Headed to Kentucky Invitational


On Saturday, the Christ School Track squad will compete at the University of Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, KY. The meet will be held inside Nutter Field House where last season, the Greenies took home three top eight finishes in the two mile, long and triple jumps.

At the moment, based on his jumps last year, Kevin Snyder '19 has qualified for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in New York City next month. For the rest of the Greenies, this will be one of the last opportunities for them to qualify. Last season, four Christ School track athletes qualified for Nationals.

Members of the team will compete in a myriad of events from jumps, hurdles and long distances including the meets most prestigious event, the 4x400m. The Greenies who set the school record in 4x400m (3:21) last season, will look to qualify for the Championship bracket in New York by running sub 3:25. Three members of last year's squad, Cobb, Snyder and Sherman will return joined by Ray Faison '20 in attempt for the new record and qualification.

Miles Gardner: 60m Hurdles

Eddy Sherman: 200m 4x400m

Zack Myers: 200m

Andrew Hammel: 3200m, 1600m

Joseph Visconti: 1600m, 800

Ray Faison: 800m, 4x400m

Kevin Snyder: Triple Jump, 4x400m

Keyvaun Cobb: 4x400m
