Varsity Baseball Keeps Rolling, Now 8-0

Christ School varsity baseball players have been road warriors throughout an 8-0 start to the season. The Greenies have had no other choice. 

Cayden Jones '24, Charlie Bell '21, and Mickey Meguiar '21 each had two hits in Saturday's 16-9 win at Covenant Day. Mickey was also the winning pitcher, and Charlie bookended things as the team's fourth pitcher of the afternoon with a 1-2-3 final inning. 

The Greenies (8-0) never trailed in their eighth game of the season that has been either on the road or at a neutral site. Christ School has scored 109 runs during the winning streak, which averages out to 13.6 per game. Cayden, Charlie, Mickey, and Ethan Rose '24 shared the team lead with two RBIs each on Saturday. Jakob Iwanek ‘24 drew three walks and Jack Young ‘22 was 1-for-1 with a pair of walks.

For the season, leading hitters who are regular members of Christ School's lineup are Mickey (.500), Charlie (.474), Garrett Clapsaddle '21 (.469), Jack (.455), Michael Posse '22 (.429), Cayden (.391), Andrew (.385), Jakob (.385), Ethan (.333) and Webb Hughes '22 (.333). 

Varsity Baseball is scheduled to host its first home game Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with the opponent being Cannon School.
