Swimming Wins Rabun Gap Invitational

RABUN GAP, Ga. – Christ School swimmers took first place in 10 events Friday, stacking up more than enough points to win the Rabun Gap (Ga.) Invitational over three other teams.

Events were swam in meters and not yards due to the size of the pool.

Individual winners for the Greenies were John Barton ’25 in the 100 butterfly (1:02.16) and 200 freestyle (2:10.84), Tyler Thompson ’24 in the 50 freestyle (27.84), Spencer Thompson ’26 in the 100 freestyle (1:02.65), Jake Landis ’25 in the 400 freestyle (5:11.19), Davis Mohorn ’24 in the 100 backstroke (1:10.41), and Alex Jarrett ’26 in the 100 breaststroke (1:26.88).

The first-place relay teams consisted of Jake, Davis, John, and Tyler in the medley relay (2:04.18), Leo Lagutin ’24, Alex, Sky Liu ’26, and Spencer in the 200 freestyle (2:01.75), and Jake, Tyler, Davis, and John in the 400 freestyle (4:13.16).
