Dear Christ School Community,
As I think about Thanksgiving, I am thankful for so much, specifically for:
- The privilege of serving at Christ School and being a Greenie in our 126th year of growing, developing, and celebrating each boy and the whole boy.
- The unwavering commitment of our faculty and staff to academic excellence, character development, and mentoring our students into young men of great character, confidence, and humility.
- The tireless service of our Wellness, Facilities, Bookstore, and Dining Services teams — often working early, late, and over weekends.
- The great leadership, wit, energy, and engagement that our 62 seniors exhibit every day to ensure Christ School’s storied traditions are upheld, and our student experience is unrivaled. Their senior speeches inspire, motivate, and instill a sense of gratitude and reverence for Christ School.

Christ School’s new programs and historic performances this fall:
○ The first semester of Modern Life Skills and a new weekly schedule are furthering the strategic initiative of developing the whole boy. Next semester, Modern Life Skills will have sessions on nutrition, CPR training, how to change a tire, etiquette, personal finance and budgeting, among other topics.
○ Our Soccer team winning its FIRST STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Coached by alum Guy Campbell ’00 with our team only allowing six goals all year, setting a school record, and was ranked as high as #8 nationally.
○ The first cohort of seniors from the Global Studies Program will complete their capstone projects in January.
○ Our chapel program ensures our pillar of spirituality is a hallmark of the Christ School student experience with three weekly gatherings in St. Joseph’s Chapel, the physical heart of our campus.
○ Both within and beyond those hallowed Chapel hours, our students consider what it means to lead a good life in a vibrant community of trusted mentors and friends.
○ Our Cross Country Team winning its third state championship and finishing with a Top-5 national ranking (only the second team in any sport to achieve a Top-5 ranking, joining the 2008-09 basketball team).
○ The Brotherhood our students enjoy that brings us together, supports each other, and makes our student section the envy of our opponents.
○ The global perspectives, enthusiasm, gratitude, bravery, diversity, talents and interests our international students bring from 9 foreign countries (Austria, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Malawi, Netherlands, UK, and Vietnam). Each boy's home country is represented by flags hanging in Stolz Dining Hall.
○ Our thriving arts, including the Fall Applied Piano and Organ Recital, the theater's performance of "Greater Tuna," our talented choir, and a record number of students enrolled in art courses. We look forward to a robust winter and spring lineup of Cooper Living Arts Series performances.

- The Board of Trustees who devotes endless hours to their stewardship of Christ School.
- Our dedicated community of parents, alumni, and friends who hosted and attended events across the Southeast and visited campus to make Alumni and Parents Weekends memorable and meaningful. Your steadfast support allows Christ School to fulfill our mission.
I wish you and your family a restful and joyous Thanksgiving. Enjoy having your sons home without the distractions of school schedules and commitments. Don’t forget they may expect a fourth meal late evening.
Gratefully,
Sean K. Jenkins, Ph.D. P’29
