COVID gave Hunter Vines ’18 an extra year at High Point University.

He used it well.

Hunter has received all-conference honors for the second time in his college lacrosse career, it was announced Thursday by the Atlantic 10.

The Christ School alumnus is a graduate student midfielder for the Panthers (8-7). He has averaged 1.2 assists per game this season and reached the 100-point mark along the way. High Point plays St. Joseph’s in the A10 Tournament on Thursday afternoon in Richmond, Va.

Hunter is the career leader in goals scored at Christ School (203) and second in all-time points (312) and assists (109). The Vancouver Warriors selected him in the sixth round of last September’s National Lacrosse League Draft knowing that Hunter would play the 2023 season for High Point before he was available.
