Greenies Place Fifth in Arby's Holiday Tournament

BRISTOL, Tennessee - Five games in five days, and the last was one of the best yet for Christ School varsity basketball. 

The Greenies rolled into 2023 with a New Year's Eve win in the fifth-place game at the Arby's Classic, 74-48, over Madison-Ridgeland Academy out of Mississippi.

Emanuel Richards '23 heaved in a halfcourt shot at the end of Saturday's first quarter. Christ School (18-1) trailed 15-11 at the time but dominated from that point forward. Keenan Wilkins '24 poured in a team-high 24 points. Other scorers were Emanuel (18 points), Anthony Robinson ‘23 (12), Bryson Cokley ‘24 (10), Matthew Pethel ‘23 (6), and Jamari Briggs ‘24 (4). Jamari was named to the all-tournament team. 

The next game for the Greenies is Thursday at Asheville Christian Academy, the start to conference play in the Carolinas Athletic Association.
