Knowing the ins and outs of their home course surely helped.

But in the end, Christ School golfers simply made more shots than any other team Wednesday at Biltmore Forest Country Club.

The Greenies fended off the biggest challenge to their undefeated season yet, winning an 18-hole match with Charlotte Latin and High Point Wesleyan Christian Academy. The composite score for Christ School was 301, two shots better than Latin and six clear of Wesleyan.

Individually, the team was led by Charles Howden ’22 (70), Jamal Hutchison ’23 (74), Taylor Kuehn ’23 (74), David Gaines ‘26 (83), Wells Edwards ‘25 (85), and Hayden Fox ‘26 (95).

Latin was the third-place team in last year’s NCISAA 4-A tournament with a score of 295, eight shots better than Christ School in fourth place.
