Christ School golf punched its ticket to next week’s NCISAA 4-A state tournament by virtue of the team’s play in a Monday qualifier at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.

The format only allowed four teams to move on after 18 holes of stroke play.

Charlotte Country Day shot the lowest score (299) Monday, with Ravenscroft in second place (307), and the Greenies and Charlotte Latin tied at 312.

Individual scores for Christ School were Charles Howden ’22 (76), Taylor Kuehn ’23 (77), Jamal Hutchison ’23 (78), Elijah Abundis ‘24 (81), Wells Edwards ‘25 (84), and David Gaines ’26 (89).

The state tournament is next Monday at Bryan Park’s Champions Course in Greensboro. Christ School placed fourth in last year’s NCISAA 4-A tournament.
