Christ School’s final Student and Residential Life Awards for the 2022-23 academic year were announced Friday in Assembly.

Nominations for the awards are submitted anonymously by Christ School’s faculty based off their daily observations. The faculty's comments are below in quotations.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Josh Harrison ‘24

“This student excels in the classroom, while taking on different roles as a tour guide with Admissions, an ambassador on Grandparents Day, and multiple other things around campus. He works hard in the mornings with spring football workouts, while attending extra study sessions, while also having a positive mindset and pushing others to be better. In the afternoons, he continues to work hard in track practice, even though he has no intention of competing in meets, he picks others up when they are dragging behind mentally and pushes guys to be the best versions of themselves, all while keeping a smile on his face.”

Norwood Bryan ’26

“This student has been a consistently hard worker throughout the school year but has elevated his performance towards the end of the year. His passion and enjoyment of History has shone brightly. He is a pleasure to have in class. Although he performs well in the classroom, his effort goes beyond these walls. He is a great community member. Whether on the soccer field or the tennis courts, his abilities improve each day and he works hard for his teammates. In addition, he is often a chaperone for prospective students, and a welcoming figure to those visiting the school for the first time.

Tripp Rodgers ‘25

“This student demonstrates a great example of Greenie character. He is ready and willing to help others, inside the classroom and outside the classroom. He’s thoughtful, engages in deep and thoughtful conversations with a cheerful attitude, all while keeping a good sense of humor. He’s a great friend to all, a quiet leader, and an appreciated member of the community.”

SENIOR LEADER OF THE MONTH

Noah Hunt ’24

“This leader is a new senior leader who has taken command in a fantastic way. He’s thoughtful, intentional, and respected by his peers. He is already taking extra duty, he communicates with his Proctor team about their duties and activities, and has helped put on a dorm cookout with his dorm parents and fellow leaders.”

ROOMMATES OF THE MONTH

Parker Beiland ’24 and Carter Martin ‘26

“Both are mid-year (enrollees). They have fit in very well, they are great members of the lacrosse team, they keep a tidy room, they do what they’re supposed to do, and they mesh well with the guys in the dorm. They have been a welcome addition to Young House and our school community in general."

JOB PROCTOR OF THE MONTH

Matthew Hammel ’23

“This student comes to job with a smile on his face and a willingness and desire to make sure that all is in good order with the job crew. He is helpful in all tasks, looks for additional areas where he can help, and settles on the most strenuous job. He has remained steadfast with his leadership, commitment, and has what we hope to see in all Greenie men – a respect for the dignity of manual labor.”
