Leaders inspire confidence and commitment in others, pointing the way to ideal goals of success.
The Class of 2025 looks the part as of Wednesday!
There is probably no day out of the year that better celebrates Christ School’s second school pillar of Leadership than the day the seniors receive their green blazers.
Seniors, and only seniors, are allowed to wear the jackets in formal settings throughout their final year, on graduation day, and beyond if they choose. It’s not out of the ordinary to see young alumni show up wearing their green blazers at a future Convocation that is now their own.
New Board of Trustees President Steve Young ‘82 was the speaker for Wednesday’s ceremony in St. Joseph’s Chapel. He encouraged the boys to seize the day and leave absolutely no regrets from any walk of their student life.
Sixty-six Greenies processed into chapel as the rest of the students and faculty sang our treasured hymn, “St. Patrick’s Breastplate.” One-by-one, the seniors slipped into their green blazers with the help of Dr. Jenkins.
Interim Assistant Head of School Lisa Darling announced these names (in alphabetical order): Jo Ahart, Abdullah Al ledan, Luke Anderson, Chris Arch, Brody Ballard, John Barton, Jacob Beatty, Pete Boatwright, Colin Breiter, Tyler Brouse, Sam Browder, Jake Brown, Brandon Brown-Ihsane, David Buckingham, Henry Chapman, Madden Collins, Truett Compton, Jaylen Daniels, Buck Duggins, Grey Edens, Walker Edens, Jordan Edgecomb, Wells Edwards, Carter Fitzgerald, Joe Gilliam, Elijah Graziosi, Buzz Hartwig, Asher Hicks, Charlie Hughes, William Hughes, John Jaber, Thomas Johnson, Davis Jones, Jimmy Jones, Wiley Kessler, Serg Kitt, Thomas Klepper, Jake Landis, Collier Lilly, Luke Madesclaire, Judson Meyers, Nolan Miller, Josh Mwagomba, Caden Paradine, Cooper Perone, Jonathan Reece, Jamie Riddleberger, Xander Ring, Luka Rose, Hunter Sanford, Brendan Selmensberger, Tucker Semans, Carter Sherwood, Blue Simmons, Finley Sullivan, Dawson Thompson, Jad Traboulsi, Spencer Vande Weghe, Will Walker, Jack West, Zach Wetzel, Nate Wilberding, Henry Wilhelm, Mikey Wilkins, Noah Wood, and Yixuan Wu.

“God, we pray a blessing over the Green jackets — a symbol of leadership at our school. We pray that those who wear them this year will fulfill the posts given to them wisely, responsibly, relationally, and joyfully. May the class of 2025 uphold the ideal of this school in their final and greatest year of calling. We remember also RJ Fox who would have worn his Green jacket with pride this year. May his memory, his example, and his life continue to inspire, instruct, and guide the Greenie brothers who carry on his legacy. All this we ask through Jesus Christ — our brother. Amen.”
