Much like the passing of the flame from one candle to another, Lessons and Carols is a Christ School tradition that has endured for 90 years now without an interruption.
Students, faculty, and all the guests that could fit inside St. Joseph’s Chapel came together for the candlelight service on the first Sunday of Advent.
Forty-eight boys sang in the student choir that performed and there was a faculty choir as well. Readers were Zachary Price ’26, Jake Landis ’25, John Barton ’25, Will Neumann ’24, George Robbins ’24, John Jaber ’25, Jozohn Price ’24, Dominic Rose ’28, and Dr. Jenkins.
As is tradition, the final carol was “Silent Night,” sung by all attendees with candles lit and the lights dimmed.
