Best in the West: Greenies Win Regional Scholastic Art Awards

Congratulations to our Greenie artists for having 14 pieces of their work be part of this year’s Western North Carolina Regional Scholastic Art Awards.

Judging was open to every student in grades 7 through 12 across the region.

Photos by Gold Key winners Patrick Wang ’24 and Keenan Wilkins ’24 and Silver Key recipients, Patrick and Morlue Eesiah ’24, will be on display from Jan. 24-March 25 at the Asheville Arts Museum.

Patrick and Keenan are also eligible for the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition.

Honorable mention in the WNC judging went to the following boys: Mason Atwater ’24, Byron Park ’24, James Mennell ’24, Tony Murphy ’24, Patrick, Keenan, and Kevin Xue ’26.

The Fine Arts are taught at Christ School by Erin Price. There has been an added emphasis on photography this school year with Director of Publications Donna Wheeler P’21 bringing her expertise to the program.
