Friday is a big day for one Christ School alumnus as it is the opening of the “Kindred Worlds: The Priscila and Alvin Hudgins Collection” art exhibition at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, N.Y.

Alvin graduated in 2005 and was a key contributor to the first Greenies state championship in basketball his senior year. He was also a Senior Leader in Noland House and sang in the Choir.

Alvin and Priscila currently reside in Yonkers and have befriended many of the minority artists whose works are celebrated in Kindred Worlds. The museum says in its description that the paintings “document the Hudgins family’s abiding support of the arts and their vital legacy of Black American collectorship, one that continues to prioritize the success of Black and Brown artists and ensure a more equitable and expansive vision of American art.”

Kindred Worlds runs through March 2, 2025.

More information regarding the exhibition can be found at this link.
