Alabama Football Offers Cayden Jones '24

When a legendary coach like Nick Saban wants you, it opens the door to a whole other level of recruiting.

That door opened this weekend for Cayden Jones ’24, who became the first Christ School football player to ever receive a scholarship offer from the University of Alabama.

Cayden is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound outside linebacker from Asheville who has been a two-time all-state and two-time all-conference defender in his career with the Greenies. He was part of their run to the 2020 NCISAA Division II state championship.

Cayden should finish up high school with more than 200 career tackles. He has been versatile enough to also play defensive back, receiver, quarterback, and return kicks at Christ School.

Regardless of the sport, Cayden has received more national recruiting attention than any Christ School athlete to precede him. His other scholarship offers include (in alphabetical order): Auburn, Charlotte, Duke, East Carolina, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, N.C. State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, USC, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

Congratulations to Cayden from everyone at Christ School!
