Albert Einstein once said that "Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school."

Dr. Brent Harris shared that quote Thursday in Chapel as a means of introducing this year's members of Christ School's National Honor Society.

"Being smart is no more valuable than money locked in a box if you don't do something with it," Harris said. "Christ School gives you levers to pull, knobs to turn, and needles to move."

Director of Academics & Curriculum Brooke Depelteau announced that the following 22 seniors met the scholarship, leadership, character, and service criteria for induction – Trey Austin, T.J. Bell, Marcus Berger, Jacob Dowler, Will DuBose, Wyatt Gildea, Mac Gortney, Zack Grinde, Tyler Haldeman, Evan Hoyle, James Lopez, Coles Manning, Thomas May, Ross Oakley, Ted Peterson, Hank Pritchard, Thomas Smoots, Andy Su, Chad Treadway, Michael Wang, Hance Zhang, and Peter Zhou.

The National Honor Society has been a benchmark for high school excellence since it was founded in 1921. There are NHS chapters in all 50 states and over 1 million United States students participate annually.
