Ski & Snowboard Team Take Home a Trophy
At the Cataloochee Interscholastic Race League Championship
Despite only being able to practice on snow just hours before any of their races in Maggie Valley, Christ School’s Ski and Snowboard team took home a trophy from the Cataloochee Interscholastic Race League Championship earlier this month. The skiers finished 2nd overall out of 17 schools in their race, and the snowboard team finished 6th out of 16 schools.
In the individual series competition, skier Tal Stephanides ‘14 finished 5th and Ben Wise ‘14 finished 7th overall out of 173 skiers.
Two snowboarders, Thomas Clarity '16 and James Antley '14, finished in the top 20 out of 139 snowboarders.
Ten students on the team have qualified for the Nastar National Championship in March, where they will travel to Aspen/Snowmass.
Congratulations, Greenies! Good luck in Colorado at Nastar!
