Introducing Kevin Lisska, Christ School's New Swim Coach

Coaching has been part of Kevin Lisska's life for as long as he can remember. As a high schooler, he was asked to coach his neighborhood's 100-member swimming club. He played multiple sports in high school, but was truly passionate about swimming and running. For 10 years he focused primarily on those two and saw great success. He played and coached the Georgia Tech Club Water Polo team, leading them to Nationals after winning the South East Regional.

Competition is in his blood. After graduating from Georgia Tech, Lisska moved to Asheville, where he fell in love with biking. Kevin began competing in Triathlons and Half and Full Ironman races. He participated in the pro circuit for a few years before meeting his wife and having children.

As a coach, he believes it is his turn to give back.

"I'm so excited for the opportunity to coach at Christ School and be part of this community. So many coaches helped me get to where I am today, and I wanted to do the same for Christ School's swim team," said Lisska. "Swimming is such an individualistic sport, and my goal is to get every member of the team involved in each other's success. With my background in triathlon's, I bring a different dynamic to the school and to the sport."

Lisska's experience will be integral to the continued success of Christ School's swim team.
