Christ School Parent Council
We are very excited about this school year. Good times and great memories are waiting to be made for both the students and parents. Mark your calendars now, and plan on returning to campus for football and tailgating in November! Parents' Weekend is a great opportunity to meet other parents, Christ School alumni, faculty and the staff that make our community such an amazing home for our sons to learn and grow.
The goal of the Christ School Parent Council is to enhance your son’s experience on campus and strengthen our sense of community among the parents. We have an incredible group of parents that reflects great diversity in our professions, hobbies and interests. We should take advantage of these strengths to help benefit all of our sons’ lives.
Please contact us if you have any questions or ideas that would enhance the overall experience of school life on our campus. We look forward to getting to know each of you in the coming months! Sign up now to get involved in this year’s Parent Council projects.
Michelle Porter P’17
President, Parent Council
All parents and legal guardians of present Christ School students are automatically members of the Christ School Parent Council. The objectives of the Parent Council are to establish a helpful two-way communication between the parents of Christ School and the administration, to foster a relationship between each student’s family and the School that will benefit the student and help the School fulfill its mission, and to seek ways in which parents can be directly involved in making the students’ experiences at the School positive and productive.
The Parent Council helps promote Christ School to the general public, assists in securing financial support of parents for the School, assists in the recruiting of qualified students for the School, and in general, is an active and involved part of the Christ School community.
The governing body that directs the activities of the Parent Council is the Executive Committee, positions of which are filled by election. The Executive Committee meets at least four times annually on the Christ School campus and also coordinates the creation of various other committees that work to accomplish the objectives of the Parent Council.
