For its winter production, Christ School Theater will perform Agatha Christie's classic play And Then There Were None. The production will run from February 23-26 at 7:30pm in Pingree Theater.

Christ School students have been recognized in the 2017 WNC Regional Scholastic Art Competition, a juried competition that recognizes outstanding artwork created by students in grades 7-12. Christ School is also one of ten schools featured in the Asheville Regional Airport Student Artwork Showcase. Seven Greenies are featured in the exhibit, which will remain on display until March 5, 2017.

On Monday, January 16, 2017, over fifty students took part in the annual MLK Day March and Rally. Greenies marched alongside thousands of community members, distinctive in t-shirts designed for the march. The shirts featured a quote from Dr. King's address at Oberlin College: "We must learn to live together as brothers, or we will perish as fools."

On Friday, January 27 at 7:00pm, Greenies will take on defending national champions Oak Hill Academy. The game supports Access2Success, the foundation that brought Greenies Justice Ajogbar and Wisdom Asaboro to Christ School. A2S is a nonprofit that works to provide sustainable programs and generate positive change for Nigerian children and their families.

In December, Christ School's art classes officially moved into the new Kennedy-Herterich Art Studio.

On December 11, 2016, the Christ School community gathered together for the 83rd Service of Lessons and Carols.

On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, faculty and students of Christ School gathered in St. Joseph's Chapel with members of the Asheville community for a reading by former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins. Over 400 people requested tickets to the event, which was the culmination of a week of activities with the author.

On Thursday, November 10, 2016, Christ School students joined with partner schools Asheville Christian Academy, Carolina Day School, and the Franklin School of Innovation to celebrate the start of this year's Habitat for Humanity Student Build.

On November 4, 2016, Christ School Theater competed in the North Carolina Theater Conference Regional High School Play Festival. They performed two pieces, a cutting of the comedy Greater Tuna by Ed Howard, Jaston Williams, and Joe Sears, and an original one act entitled Green, written for Christ School by local playwright Travis Lowe. Greenies won an award for Excellence in Comedy for Greater Tuna and an award for Excellence in Set for Green.
