Christ School improves to 6-0 for the season with an easy 82-54 win over Providence Day at home. The balanced scoring attack, with 5 players in double figures, led the offense, while Marshall Plumlee (14 pts and 18 rebounds) and Will Weeks (12 pts and 15 rebounds) controlled the boards. Rob Gray had 18 pts, Justin Dotson 13 pts and TD Dixon 12 pts.
The Greenies got off to a good start and led 17-4 with 2:28 to play in the 1st quarter. The teams then traded baskets and the lead stood at 21-9. Christ School began to pull away in the 2nd quarter behind an 18-4 scoring run in 6:00 min of play to increase the lead to 44-20, before the Chargers hit a late shot to make the score 44-22 at the half.
The teams traded baskets throughout the 3rd quarter, but Providence Day could never get the lead below 20 pts and the Greenies maintained control at 63-43 going into the final quarter. Rob Gray hit a pair of 3-pointers to offset the trio of long range shots by the Chargers. A 19-2 scoring run to start the 4th quarter capped by a TD Dixon 3-pointer gave the Greenies a 72-45 lead. Justin Doston scored the last 8 pts for Christ School.
