A Message from the Director of Admission and Financial Aid
I am proud that you have taken the time to learn about what Christ
School can offer your son. For over 110 years, Christ School has been
successfully committed to fostering the intellectual, spiritual, and physical
growth of boys through a character-driven, community experience. Our picturesque, 500 acre, mountain campus
enriches that experience by affording each boy the ease of access to all of our
facilities including: Wetmore Hall, Pingree Auditorium, Patrick Beaver Student
Center, ’38 House, Mebane Field House, and Noland, West, Harris, Cunningham,
and South Carolina Houses.
I am proud that Christ School is the optimum community size for a
residential and day, college preparatory school. Our size creates an atmosphere
of camaraderie that imparts knowledge, instills confidence, and develops each
boy’s individual passions. Our devoted faculty possesses the experience and
proven techniques for teaching boys that make all of our classroom environments
action-oriented, lively, and engaging. After the academic day, our teachers and
administrators naturally and effectively assume the roles of mentor, advisor,
coach, and dorm parent.
I am proud that Christ School’s Episcopal tradition strives to create
and support a community diverse in thought, experience and perspective: it
allows families of all faiths and cultural backgrounds to feel welcome and
celebrated. The longest continually
operating chapel in western North Carolina, St. Joseph’s Chapel, watches over
us and simply reminds each community member of life’s majesty and sacredness.
I am proud that Christ School graduates enter and then enhance some of
the best colleges and universities in the country. Furthermore, they finish
Christ School equipped with the tools to tackle all the challenges of life and
ready to enter the world around them with a respect for fellow humans and a
commitment to engage in our democracy.
I am proud to introduce Christ School to prospective students,
parents, and visitors. Please come and visit with us and see for yourself. In
the meantime, explore our website and feel free to contact us by email or phone
to learn more about our school, our admission process, or to schedule a visit.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Morgan B. Scoville
Director of Admission and Financial Aid
