Summer Opportunities
Christ School is host for three specialized sports camps: Christ School's Lacrosse Camp, Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy and The All-American Cross Country Camp. Each camp has exclusive use of the Christ School campus. More information about these camps can be found using the left side navigation.
In addition to these on campus opportunities, faculty, students and athletes are also involved in off campus team camps, study abroad opportunities and high adventure.

Summer Travel Opportunities
Westward Ho

Four weeks of traveling through the West or Northeast for those students who want to see America and visit our National Park system. Travelers load up in a vehicle with all of the gear needed to bike, hike, climb and possibly paddle their way around the US. In the past we have visited an average of 8 National Parks and hiked up at least one of the top five highest mountains in the continental US. Some of the places that we have visited Moab, Whistler, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Las Vegas, the Rockies. Mt St. Helens and the Tetons to name just a few. The destinations are decided upon by the travelers, and plans can change for interest and weather. Cost = $3,200 to $3,600 depending upon if we need guides and rentals.

Paddle America

Two weeks of paddling/rafting at differing point of interest in America. Ideas range from paddling the 8 river parks in Colorado to paddling/rafting rivers like the Ocoee, Youghiogheny, New, Gauley, White, Penobscot and Kennebec. Some could be rafted and some could be paddled. We will hire a guide to lead us on the river not paddled before to ensure safe trips. This is a new idea and could be coupled with visiting biking/hiking some areas and National Parks in the Northeast. Cost: depends upon what/where the group decides to go.

Study abroad in Salamanca, Spain
June 8 - June 29, 2013
Led by Christ School's Marshall Baltazar, this three-week study abroad experience includes full room and board with a Spanish family, four hours of class daily with all materials included, tours, excursions, workshops, and more.
The program is open to both male and female students age 16 and older, with good academic standing and at least one year of Spanish studies. The total cost with everything for three weeks is approximately $4,400 including airfare. The group departure will be from Charlotte, NC June 8 and return June 29, 2013. (Separate departures can be accommodated)
