The school offers you choices including three competitive levels of Greenie basketball, wrestling, and swimming. Non-competitive offerings include pre-season baseball, golf, lacrosse, and tennis, along with the outdoor program and intramurals. Basketball levels include an eighth and ninth grade team, a junior varsity team, and a varsity team. Boys in the ninth through twelfth grades can play at the varsity level if their skills warrant this level. A number of former Greenie basketball players are playing at the college level, including Chavis and Travis Holmes (Class 2005) at the Virginia Military Institute and Matt Gwynne '06 at UT-Chattanooga

The Mebane Field House was renovated in 2003 with a new basketball floor made of Tasmanian mahogany. The lower gym houses the wrestling room, weight rooms, racquetball courts and athletic offices.

Winter 2006-07 Season Highlights

Basketball
The 2006-07 Varsity Basketball is ranked #3 in a pre-season NCISAA rivals.com poll and #14 by hoopsusa.com on the national level.

Wrestling
After the first week of action, the team has posted a 5-2 match record.

Swimming
The swim team does not have a meet until December 1, 2006.

Christ School Athletes in College News:
Virginia Military Institute guard Travis Holmes (Christ School '05) was selected to the 2005-06 All-Freshman team of the Big South Conference.

Chavis Holmes (Christ School '05) was named VMI Athlete of the Week and also named the New Balance Big South Freshman of the Week in December 2005.

Matt Gwynne (Christ School '06) is a member of the UT-Chattanooga basketball team of the Southern Conference.
