SAGE took over food service for Christ School on May 25. And moving forward, Green said that Greenie diners can expect a chef-driven, restaurant-style approach to everything they consume.

Citizen Science Award for Coleman Davis '18

For six years now, the waterfowl and wildlife of Lake Mattamuskeet have benefitted from the volunteer service of Coleman Davis '18. He was presented with a Citizen Science Award from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service this month, as well as a pin to recognize more than 500 hours of work Coleman has put into the Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge since 2011.

Speed Demon Champ Stuart '10 Living Out His Dream

"Looking back, it is one of the best decisions that I've ever made," says Champ Stuart '10 of his time at Christ School. Stuart, 24, is still burning up the base paths as a center fielder in the New York Mets organization. He has stolen 33 bases for the Double-A Binghamton (N.Y.) Rumble Ponies, a dozen more steals than any other player in the Eastern League.

Zack Grella '19 came to Christ School three years ago with no real interest in broadcasting or filmmaking. Now he has his own YouTube channel. Success stories such as this are why the Christ School Broadcast Network is more than just an online channel for Greenies sports and other special occasions. "It's really cool. I've never seen anything like it at any other school," Zack said. "When you have opportunities like we do, and access to all the gear, it really develops your passion for it. I'm excited about my third year of doing it."

Kirk Blackard rarely draws a blank when a student needs information about a prospective college. Christ School's Director of College Guidance prides himself on this, having seen colleges in 22 different states over the past 14 years. And not in the most conventional way, mind you. Blackard saddles up on a bike and cycles hundreds of miles each summer with other nationwide counselors on the annual Tour d'Admission.
